Audition Details

*Auditions are on a drop-in basis, and we have limited time to conduct these auditions. Each student has the responsibility to audition on his/her time outside of scheduled FAF activities. 

*Come in prepared with a two (2) minute monologue/spoken word/dramatized quoting/slam poem/other approved piece. If you have questions regarding the piece you have selected to audition with, please contact the directors via email at [email protected] . There will be no required cold reads, but please be prepared to answer a few questions after your piece.

*ASDT Online Video Auditions will be accepted, during the allotted period. 

--Submitted videos must be 5 minutes in total length. Opening with a 3-minute introduction of yourself, your piece, and a response to these questions: 

What ministry means to me? & Why I want to pursue ASD as a ministry opportunity?

Followed by a 2-minute monologue/spoken word/dramatized quoting/slam poem/etc. 

A link to your video audition (posted through Vimeo, IG Video, You tube, or Facebook) along with your name, age, grade in school, and the church you attend, should be emailed to [email protected] by March 26, 2027. 

If you will be attending AR Fine Arts Festival, please come by to meet the ASDT Directors during FA weekend. If not, please be prepared for us to schedule a Skype or Facetime call in the week following FA.

PLEASE NOTE: Application must still be submitted by the deadline whether you submit an online video audition or plan to audition at FA Festival. No auditions will be considered without the completed application.
